CAPTAIN FELIX runs in handicap company for the first time at Sandown tomorrow. He runs in a 2 1/2 mile novice handicap and there are 10 runners, Jack Quinlan takes the ride. It is hard to judge if he is well handicapped or not but the form of his placed runs looks solid so we hope he is not harshly treated. He ran a decent race at Fakenham last time out as he was giving alot of weight to the winner. It is a bit of fact finding mission tomorrow as he is stepping up in trip for the first time too. We also don't know how he will handle the ground as it could be very testing. Ideally we would want better ground but there aren't too many suitable options and we were keen to run him on a right handed track as he does seem better going that way round. It was pretty soft at Fakenham but soft ground over a longer trip will be unknown territory for him. Whatever the outcome we should be wiser after the event but it looks an open race and the horse is in good form so we are hoping for the best.
