SIR NOTE is an intended runner at Huntingdon and WIND PLACE AND SHO at Doncaster tomorrow. Both course are holding precautionary inspections but are hopeful that racing will go ahead. SIR NOTE steps up to 2 1/2 miles for the fist time but the way he won at Leiceter recently suggested that he could get further so we thought it was worth a try. We were delighted with the win that day as it was his first run back after a break and he stayed on well and it is a stiff track. Huntingdon is less of a stamina test and he is a course winner so it seems a logical place to try him over this distance. It is a good time to find out as then we can make future plans with him. The form of the Leicester race received a boost yesterday as Heron's Heir who was third that day won at Catterick yesterday. The ground should be fine for SIR NOTE tomorrow so if he stays he should run very well.
WIND PLACE AND SHO drops back in trip at Doncaster to 2 miles 3 furlongs as he has appeared not to stay in his first 2 runs over hurdles over 2 miles 5 furlongs. It is a bit of a surprise as he won over 2 miles 2 furlongs on the flat. We will see if tomorrow trip is right for him or he may have to drop back even further. He is in good form at home and has taken well to jumping so we hope it will be a case of third time lucky over hurdles tomorrow!
