Buskin River steps up in trip tomorrow

Thursday, August 17, 2017
BUSKIN RIVER steps up to 10 furlongs tomorrow at Nottingham. He is running in an Amateur riders handicap and James Smith takes the ride. James knows the horse well as he rides him out at home and it is race confined to riders who haven't not ridden more than 3 winners before the start of the season. BUSKIN RIVER ran respectably first time out this season at Chelmsford over a mile  but didn't really face the kickback. He showed though that he should stay further than a mile so this step up in trip should suit him. He ran well last year as a 2 year old over a mile with cut in the ground so you would hope he would stay further this year and he will like the ground  which is currently good to soft. He is drawn well in stall 3 of the 12 runners and so we are hopeful of a good run tomorrow
