RUBY WINE is to step up in grade again when she contest the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock on Saturday. This will also be her first time running against older fillies and it will be interesting to see how the current 3 year old generation compare with the older fillies. It is obviously a competitive race but she is an improving filly and she should also be better over this longer trip. Connections will obviously be delighted if she can finish in the first 4 but it will be a dream come true if she does win. She definitely has a chance and the ground should be no problem. It should be good/firm or good which is ideal.
If Warwick survives an inspection today ELMíS SCHOOL BOY will run in a mile selling handicap there tomorrow. He is stepping down in grade and hopefully he is capable of winning a race at this level. The soft ground should suit him as his best work at home has been on this ground. He definitely did not like the firm ground at Brighton last time, he possible didnít handle the track there either.
PRINCESS GALADRIEL makes her first appearance for the yard at Leicester on Saturday. She is running in a 0-70 classified race and is rated 65 herself so is not best in at the weights. She is a very genuine filly and should run a reasonable race.
On Monday there could be trio of runners spread across the country but it does depend on the weather. DEMI TASSE is entered at Musselburgh in a 3 year olds and upwards 35-55 12 furlong handicap. She really tries hard so you would give her a chance but she will only go there if they get more rain. The same applies for WESTER LODGE who holds an entry at Bath in a 56-75 maiden handicap over 12 furlongs. He was third over this trip at Ripon so is capable of running well but definitely needs more rain as it can get very firm at Bath. AT THE MONEY is entered at Windsor in a 6 furlong maiden. After a promising first run he ruined any chance he had last time out by pulling too hard. James Eustace has dropped him back in trip hoping that the pace of the race will give him a chance to settle. He would also want some rain as it was firm at Lingfield last time he ran which may not have suited him.
