TIGHT LIPPED faces only 8 rivals in the mile handicap at Ascot tomorrow. After the initial entry stage it didin't look as if he would get into the race but not many have stood their ground presumably because of the testing going. He will like the ground and appears to be suited by a straight track. He ran well over 7 furlongs at Yarmouth and stayed on well that day so hopefully the step up to a mile will suit him. he works at home as if he will get this trip. If the ground is very testing it may test his stamina out but he is in very good form and has a good draw so we are looking for a good run from him tomorrow.
TIGHT LIPPED is also declared at Nottingham on Saturday in a mile handicap. He appears to be a very tough individual so if he comes out of the Ascot race well he could take his chance on Saturday. There are only 10 runers in this race. SAMBA NIGHT has the one engagement on Saturday at Nottingham. He is running in a 6 furlong maiden race and he should also appreciate the soft ground. It looks an average maiden and he looks capable of winning of a race of this calibre. He is possibly best suited by a straight track too as he he didn't handle the bend at Lingfield and was disapppointing at Kempton, racing around a right handed bend. Hopefully a straight track will bring out the best in him and he will be thereabouts on Saturday.
