It's a busy day for Park Lodge on Friday with 3 runners at 2 different meetings. A BOY NAMED SUZI ran a great race last week at Yarmouth against older horses and is due to go up 2 pounds from Saturday. He is running in a 1 mile 6 furlong 0-80 handicap at Haydock on Friday, his last chance to run in a race of this grade. He seems to have come out of last weeks race very well so hopefully this does not come too soon for him. The ground is a slight unknown, at the moment it is soft, gd/sft in places and no more rain is forecast. If it does dry out a bit it will be fine for him. The course will suit him and he is proven over this trip. He won't be taking on any older horses this time as it is a race for 3 year olds only which must be in his favour. Hopefully he is set to run well again.
SUZI'S A CLASS ACT heads for Wolverhampton where she runs in a 56-75 1 mile 6 furlong handicap. She will be wearing sheepskin cheekpieces for the first time which will hopefully help her to reproduce the form on the track that she shows at home. She has worked well in them so let's hope they will do the trick.
MISS EXHIBITIONIST also runs at Wolverhampton in a 9 furlong handicap. She was beaten in a photo finish at the same track and distance by TRUMPINGTON STREET. This horse has subsequently won a handicap and is rated 85 so the form of that race has worked out very well. She has had a break and is fresh and well. She is a very genuine filly and deserves to get her head in front, if she reproduces her previous run on this track she must every chance.
