The versatile WESTER ROSS runs back on the flat today at Salisbury. He was second over hurdles in his last run and before that he ran well at Brighton on the flat. He has been placed twice on this course and over todays distance of 14 furlongs so a good run is expected. He is in good form at home and unless there is an improving 3 year old in the race he has the form to go very close today.
INTEGRIA, fresh from last weeks win, runs under a 6 pound penalty at Wolverhampton on Friday. He has only been put up 5 pounds by the handicapper but there are a lack of suitable races next week on the all weather. It seems better to carry the penalty and try and win again while the horse is in form instead of waiting for another suitable race. There is a race for him at Newbury next Thursday but a serious amount of rain would be needed before then to make it ideal for him to run there. The drop back to 7 from 8 furlongs should not be a problem and he should be able to defy his penalty and win again on Friday.
