PENSION POLICY will be having her first run for James Eustace at Pontefract this afternoon. She was formerly with Roger Charlton but was moved to Newmarket so she could be covered by the stallion, Kylachy. She has been tested in foal and it will be interesting to see if she shows improved form, sometimes fillies do. Physically she seems to have blossomed, the warmer weather may have helped her in this way too. Today is a slight fact finding mission to see if she stayes 10 furlongs. She gives the impression on the racetrack and at home that she will. Today's race seemed an ideal opportunity as it is for fillies only and there is decent prizemoney on offer.
JOE CASTER heads for Lingfield on Friday for a 6 furlong handicap. Luke Morris is banned on that day so W. Carson gets the ride and he will claim a valuable 5 pounds of his back which should help. He ran respectably from a bad draw in a Listed race first time out this season but then ran very flat next time out. He seems to be back to himself at home now so will hopefully show that on the racecourse on Friday.
