GENERAL ZHUKOV makes his seasonal debut at Yarmouth this afternoon. He had one race last season at the same track and ran a promising race finishing 6th. It was a hot race as all the horses in front of him have won subsequently and he was the first unraced horse home that day. He is a nice horse for the future but is still a bit immature and will definitely improve with time. His trip is a bit of an unknown as he is by a stayer but from a sprinting family. It is a hot race today but hopefully he can run a nice race and give an indication of his future trip.
At Yarmouth tomorrow PENPERTH will also be making her seasonal reappearance in a mile fillies maiden. She ran twice last year over the same trip and was placed both times. She will come on for the run but is definitely fir enough to do herself justice. She will like the ground and should have a chance of being in the first 3 again. James Eustace has slight doubts about this being her best trip, he thinks she may drop back in trip in the future despite the fact she ran well over a mile last year. She is by Xaar who is more an influence for speed than stamina. She is a very genuine filly who always gives her best.
