James Eustace is to make his first visit to Wincanton racecourse tomorrow to saddle AT THE MONEY. He runs in 2 mile 6 furlong handicap, a competitive race that has attracted 21 runners. He will have a local jockey on board tomorrow, Joe Tizzard, who knows the track well. AT THE MONEY has had a bit of a break since his last run and has come back in good form. Any more rain that falls will help his chances.
On Sunday Big D, James Eustace's son, takes the ride on Karky Schultz in an amateur rider's race at Kempton. The race is over 12 furlongs which is considerably further than he has run over on the flat before. He gets 2 miles over hurdles well so if he does get the trip on the flat he could be well handicapped. He has the worst draw, on the outside, but the aim will be to drop him in and get him settled so it may not be such a disadvantage. Big D has ridden the horse alot at home so knows him well. Let's hope the extra distance suits KARKY SCHULTZ and he runs a big race.
