KARKY SCHULTZ returns to Great Leighs tomorrow where he ran well earlier in the season over the same trip. There has been a slight cloud over the form of some of the horses in the yard recently as some have been coughing and he himself may not have been quite right last time he ran. He seems well now though and will have the application of blinkers for the first time tomorrow too. He has worn them at home to good effect so hopefully they can work on the racecourse. The biggest worry tomorrow will be the draw as he is drawn 12 of the 16 runners which is not ideal especially over 6 furlongs.
On Friday WESTER ROSS is stepping up in trip to 14 furlongs at Salisbury. He has been knocking at the door reently having run well on his last 3 runs including his last run at Newbury where he finished fourth beaten 1 1/2 lengths. James Eustace would have preferred to have run him over 12 furlongs but there were no suitable races over this distance for him but he is confident he will get the trip. He has run well on the track before and seems to to go on any ground within reason.
