JOE CASTER has not been seen out since his promising debut in April. He was unlucky enough to run up against Art Connoisseur that day who went on to win the Coventry at Royal Ascot. He only faces 3 rivals today but one of those is the odds on Global City trained by Godolphin. He has had a series of niggling problems since his first run and was also given time to grow and develop. He seems in good form at home and worked nicely last Friday so he should run well today but may find the favourite hard to beat.
WESTER ROSS returns to Salisbury where he ran well last time, finishing third over the same distance as today. He also has the same jockey on board, Hayley Turner, she seemed to get a good tune out of him last time so let's hope the same combination of course, distance and jockey can work again today. On paper, Del Mar Sunset will be hard to beat but if WESTER ROSS can reproduce the form of his last run he should be thereabouts. The ground conditions are in his favour, he handles fast ground well.
Tomorrow evening, TOO HOT TO HANDLE, runs at Leicester in a 6 furlong maiden stakes. She ran well enough first time out this season at Lingfield and the Leicester track should suit her better. She can be a bit keen so as long as she settles and can get some cover early on in the race she should finish a bit closer this time.
