COVERHAM and ASTROGEM both run at Sandown tomorrow afternoon. COVERHAM ran a very good race there last time out over 7 furlongs from a bad draw. He gave the impression that a mile on that track would suit him well and he is better drawn in stall 5 of the 13 runners this time. We hope that the extra furlong and the better draw will both help and he can finish closer this time.
ASTROGEM will be having her first run in a handicap and it is for fillies only. She unfortunately is drawn badly in stall 13 of the 13 runners which is particularly difficult for an inexperienced filly. There was no obvious explanation as to why she ran below par last time out as on form she should have had a good chance. Nothing came to light afterwards so we hope it was just a one off. She will find it hard from the draw tomorrow but we will leave it up to Shane Kelly to ride the best race he can from that stall. She has run well over this trip of 7 furlongs before and on home form she should run well.
