CLOSEST FRIEND returns to the track at Huntingdon tomorrow afternoon and it will be his first run for us. He runs in a 2 mile handicap chase, there are 6 runners and he will be ridden by Jack Quinlan. He sustained a hind leg injury on his last run for Dan Skelton in October 2016 so he has had a long time off. He is lovely horse to have in the yard and has done nothing wrong in his preparation for this race. He has schooled well and has been working nicely but obviously having a long time off means he maybe a bit ring rusty. We just hope he can jump round safely and run well enough to show he does still have a future. He is now 9 years old but his stable companion, AVIATOR, won last week at the age of 10 showing that age should not be an issue!
