BURNING HEAT and SANDY COVE both run at Chelmsford tomorrow afternoon. There are 7 runners in each race and both horses are drawn 1 and will be ridden by Ryan Tate. It will be the first run in a handicap for BURNING HEAT and he is stepping up in trip to 2 miles which should suit him. He has run 2 good races in maidens including a second at Chelmsford over 1 mile 5 furlongs. We dropped him back in trip next time out at Kempton purely because there was no other suitable maiden for him. He is a nice horse and he should go well tomorrow. His next run could well be over hurdles as he looks the ideal type to go jumping.
SANDY COVE's race looks a more competitive event and he is one of 3 course and distance winners in the race. He ran very well at Kempton after a break and has come on for the run. He gave away 10 lengths at the start that day so we hope he does not repeat that. He doesn't have to improve too much on last years form to be thereabouts tomorrow.
Both horses have chances so it would be nice if one or both of them could be the first flat winners of the year!
