LONGSIDE and POPPY TIME both run tomorrow in different parts of the country. LONGSIDE heads south to Brighton to run in a 12 furlong handicap and he is drawn 4 of the 8 runners. He has run well at the track before, finishing a very close second, and he will also like the ground. He will be ridden once again by Thomas Brown who rode him to victory last time out. He won a very weak race at Yarmouth and the handicapper, in our opinion, has treated him harshly by putting him up 8 pounds for that win. We will see who is right tomorrow! The horse is in good form at home and has conditions in his favour so should run well but it is a big step up for him running off this handicap mark.
POPPY TIME heads up the A1 to Pontefract. She runs in a 10 furlong maiden and is drawn 5 of the 8 runners, Ryan Tate takes the ride. She is better than her first run looks as she completely missed the break that day and didn't get into the race at all. We aren't sure of her best trip but we are stepping her up in trip this time purely to give her a chance to get into the race and learn something. We do like her from what she has shown us at home so we hope she can show a bit more on the racecourse this time.
