TRANSACTION has been entered in the first 2 year old race of the year at Lingfield on Saturday. There is a chance he will get balloted out which would be very annoying as James is confident that he will run very well. He has done everything asked of him at home and the trainer says he will not finish last! For an early 2 year old he is a good strong horse and mature for the time of year.
It would be very nice for the owner, Mr Darling, if TRANSACTION runs well as he also bred the horse. His sire is Trans Island and this would be his first runner. His run will be a good yardstick for the rest of James’s 2 year olds so it is important for everyone that he does run a good race. If he does get eliminated from Saturday’s race he would be aimed at Doncaster next Friday or Leicester on April 1st.
The older horses are progressing nicely and should be ready to run from the end of March onwards. We will hopefully have a few plans for some of them next week. This milder weather we are now enjoying will certainly help the horses to come in their coats. It is nice to be able to go out on the heath now with a few less layers on!
