LONGSIDE makes his debut for the yard at Leicester tomorrow and there are only 4 runners. He will be ridden by the season's leading jockey to date, Silvestre de Sousa. He was bought at Doncaster Sales in May out of the yard of Charlie Hills and formerly owned by Juddmonte Farms. He is bred on similar lines to SANDY COVE who stays 12 furlongs so we are gambling on the fact that he might stay too. The plan is to gradually step him up in trip so he runs over a mile tomorrow. He has been gelded since we bought him and we hope that he will turn into a dual purpose horse in the future. We aren't sure if the ground will suit him, he may prefer a bit of cut in the ground, but tomorrow is very much a fact finding mission and we hope to learn more about the horse from this run.
