CHEIF SPIRIT makes his seasonal debut in a mile maiden at Newbury tomorrow. There are 16 runners and he is well drawn in stall 8, Graham Lee takes the ride. The ground is currently on the fast side of good which should suit him. He had 2 runs last year and and ran very well in his second race finishing third at Salisbury. He has been working nicely at home and has a similar profile to WIND PLACE AND SHO who won his maiden nicely at Pontefract recently. Historically this is always a decent maiden but he should run a nice race and he looks a promising horse for the future.
