Some of our most famous Horses

It has been a great privilege to work with some lovely horses that have given us some memorable days on the racecourse. Here are some of our favourites:

Ruby Wine 2004 - 2006  Racing Post

RUBY WINE (pictured far right, alongside WELCOME STRANGER, left and ORCADIAN, centre) was a home-bred filly owned by Rachel Wilson, bred and reared at her and her husband Richard's Hockham Lodge Stud. She was from a fine, middle distance/staying family that included SATINETTE and SILK STOCKING. She was by the very successful son of SADLER'S WELLS, KAYF TARA. She won the Lord Weinstock Memorial Stakes (Listed) at Newbury in June 2005. She was also placed fourth in the Lancashire Oaks (Group 2) that summer and Listed placed at Yarmouth the following year. She was a lovely stamp of filly. Her half-sister by DOYEN, another son of SADLER'S WELLS, is a yearling of 2008 and due to come into training this Autumn. She has been named DOYEN DREAM and their dam CRIBELLA has been retired. Let us hope that DOYEN DREAM does as well as her sister on a racecourse and can replace her dam at stud.
